Administrative Expertise

People are needed to raise funds, promote the park, develop educational programs, and do historical research. Computers, graphics software, printers, cameras, and video equipment are helpful in promotional activities.

Time

The Spring Lake Project conducts a host program in which volunteers monitor the park and act as interpreters.  Volunteers are asked to commit at least two hours per week during which time they greet visitors, provide information, and assure that city ordinances are being observed.  Bring your lawn chair, bird book, and walking stick, and spend a pleasant time at the park while providing a much needed public service.

Money

The majority of funding for Spring Lake Park development has come from private donations. Some donations have been designated for special projects, while others have been given in memory of loved ones. Your tax-deductible donation or memorial may be forwarded to the Spring Lake Project, Streator Onized Credit Union, 120 E. Northpoint Drive, Streator, IL 61364. All contributions to Spring Lake Project are tax deductible and dedicated solely for park development.
